Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer
Jeremy Xu is the senior vice president and chief innovation officer for Ingredion. Xu is responsible for advancing the focus on global specialty growth platforms, overseeing the Ingredion Idea Labs® innovation centers, identifying new growth opportunities, and driving innovation for the Company. Before joining the Company in 2020, Xu spent four years at Royal DSM, as a global business president for a $2.5 billion human nutrition and health business, and 16 years at DuPont, serving in a variety of leadership roles across Asia and the U.S.
Xu holds doctorates in biochemistry and molecular biology and an MBA from Purdue University. Xu also has a master’s degree in plant physiology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a bachelor’s degree in biology and biomedical engineering from Zhejiang University in China.
Xu is fluent in English, Madarin and Cantonese.
