WESTCHESTER, Ill., August 25, 2026 — Ingredion Incorporated (NYSE: INGR), a leading global provider of ingredient solutions for the food and beverage industries, announced today the European Commission authorized the use of Benicaros^® SF Pure P, enabling commercialization throughout the European Union beginning July 2, 2026.

Marketed under the name Benicaros SF Pure P, rhamnogalacturonan-I enriched carrot fiber is plant-based - upcycled from carrot pomace, kosher, halal and gluten-free.

The authorization comes after a positive scientific safety assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) which now permits the use of patented, carrot fiber in certain foods, beverages, and food supplements.

Benicaros SF Pure P stimulates the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and the production of short chain fatty acids. Studies show an increase in these beneficial gut bacteria and their metabolites can lead to a range of potential immune health benefits, such as interaction with innate immune cells. Additional studies show this priming of innate immune cells can support immune health.

Benicaros SF Pure is water-soluble, pH and heat stable and has little to no impact on taste, texture, or odor of a finished product. Therefore, it provides versatility for use in functional foods, beverages, and dietary supplements at an extremely low dosage – 300 milligrams per day.
