HOMECRAFT® Pulse flours
Pulse flours — the wheat-free ingredient for delicious gluten-free foods
Make your gluten-free goals a reality with pulse flours
Today, many food manufacturers are looking to replace wheat flour and add novel flours, such as pulse flours, to differentiate their products and branch out into new types of foods. They also want appealing label claims like "non-GMO," "gluten-free," "sustainably sourced" and "vegetarian." Designing the desired flavor and texture profile, along with appealing label claims such as high protein, high fiber and low fat can come with taste, formulation and processing challenges.
How can you get a bigger slice of the fast-growing market for nutritious, gluten-free products?
Responsibly sourced from peas, lentils, faba beans and chickpeas, our clean label HOMECRAFT® Pulse flours contain 10-20% high-quality protein on a dry basis — enabling the development of a wide range of in-demand gluten-free foods. Pulse flours contain higher protein, about twice as much as cereal grains, are high in soluble and insoluble dietary fiber and contain micronutrients.

Pulse flours — helping enable on-trend claims for top consumer appeal
- Clean label
A localized approach to sustainability
HOMECRAFT® Pulse flours are produced from pulses grown and physically processed in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, Canada. Pulses produce their own fertilizer by fixing nitrogen into the soil and use significantly less non-renewable energy and water relative to other crops.
Solve taste and flavor challenges
In some applications the inherent plant flavor of pulses is a perfect fit, while in others, a neutral, cleaner flavor is preferred. This is why we developed — and manufacture — a new line of plant proteins and flours with even better taste.
