Connor’s bay leaf hot chocolate

Ingredients used

  • 1.5 ounces dark chocolate
  • 2.5 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 bay leaf – fresh or dry
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Simmer milk and bay leaf for 10 minutes, until bay leaf is fragrant. Keep warm, not boiling.
  2. Place the chocolate and cream into a mug. Microwave for 30 – 60 seconds until hot.
  3. Let sit for 2 minutes.
  4. Mix into a paste.
  5. Strain milk into chocolate mug, mix until homogenous.
  6. Add a pinch of salt and serve.
