Statement on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)

As a leading ingredient solutions provider, Ingredion offers a broad portfolio of products to meet the varying needs of our customers. These products may be derived from genetically modified (GM) or non-GM crops. In all respects, the ultimate decision on how to identify and label food packaging with respect to GMO remains with our customers.

All of Ingredion’s non-GMO products are identity-preserved to safeguard their non-GMO status. Additionally, some of our non-GM products are certified through our identity preservation program, TRUETRACE® which is supported by third-party verification *.

Finally, whether our products are sourced from GMO or non-GMO crops, it is important to note that many of our sweeteners undergo several processes that degrade and remove GM DNA, making it undetectable in measurable amounts in the final product.

Customers should contact their local Ingredion customer service representative for information on our non-GMO products specific to their needs.

For additional information, see our Non-GMO Fact Sheet.

*For purposes of Ingredion’s TRUETRACE® Program, “non-GMO” is as defined by the European Union Regulation (EC) No. 1829/2003. Other standards may apply to non TRUETRACE® products.  Contact your Ingredion Customer Service Representative for more information.
