Diversity means...

Diversity is the representation of all varied identities and differences, which include but are not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, age, (dis)ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical appearance, national origin, religion, tribe, caste, socio-economic status, education, marital status, language(s) spoken, way of thinking and communication styles.

Equity means...

Equity ensures fair treatment, equality of opportunity, fairness in access to information, resources and opportunities needed for individuals to succeed, while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of certain groups.

Inclusion means...

Inclusion builds a culture of belonging where every individual or group is and feels welcomed, respected, supported, valued, and able to fully participate. A culture where diversity of thought, ideas, perspectives, and values is celebrated and leveraged to cultivate innovation and achieve the organization's success.


At Ingredion, we are committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging where diversity is celebrated and leveraged to cultivate innovation and add value to our business. We continuously strive to strengthen the diversity of our teams because it helps us not only create a positive employee experience, but also achieves stronger and better business outcomes. We believe that developing a diverse and inclusive business makes us and society stronger, energizes our growth through customer engagement, and helps us attract and retain talent.

To that end we have set the following goals & milestones:

  • Achieve 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index as an employer of choice for LGBTQ+ employees by the end of 2022
  • Reach industry benchmarks on inclusion and belonging indicators on our employee engagement survey by the end of 2022
  • Minimize bias and maximize equity in our hiring and promotional practices by the end of 2023
  • Improve the representation of women in management with a goal of gender balance by 2030
  • Improve representation of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) at the management level
