Ingredion is a leading global ingredients solutions company. We make sweeteners, starches, nutrition ingredients and biomaterials that are used by customers in everyday products from foods and beverages to paper and pharmaceuticals.  We turn grains, fruits, vegetables and other plant materials into ingredients that make crackers crunchy, candy sweet, yogurt creamy, lotions and creams silky, plastics biodegradable and tissues softer and stronger. Our innovative ingredient solutions help customers stay on trend with simple ingredients and gluten-free or high-fibre foods that appeal to today's consumers.

Our customers operate in more than 120 countries and operate in many diverse sectors, mainly food, but also beverages, paper and corrugating, brewing and other industries.

We are committed to ensuring that our business and our supply chains operate ethically. Our Policies and Values reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, for example within our supply chains, to promote the responsible treatment of migrant workers doing business with our agricultural suppliers. The Ingredion Corporate Policies on Corporate Responsibility can be found here.

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we request that all our contractors, suppliers and other business partners, adopt the same high standards as we do to prevent modern slavery, by ensuring all employees and workers are treated with dignity and respect in a fair and ethical environment.

Whilst we have in place a Supplier Code of Conduct as referred to above, we continue to take steps to ensure that we have in place systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Protect whistle blowers.
